Embracing Spiritualism Past and Present (1903)

The world is my parish, and truth my authority. —Dr. Peebles (1822-1922)
(page 79) The world of spirits is the world of causes; this, of shadows and effects. All broad humanitarian plans, for redemptive purposes, are first conceived in the higher realms of spiritual existence; then inflowed by the natural law of influx to the sensitive earth, to take form, be enunciated, and ultimately outworked into practical life.
(page 287) Beautiful, truly, is a calm, abiding faith—faith in the measureless possibilities of humanity—faith in the governing guidance of the spiritual heavens—faith in the unchangeability of the divine laws, and faith in the ceaseless, outflowing love of the Infinite.

Life would be boring if you did not have each other. You need one another to feel your own expression in the world. You, unique, perfectly formed, special and one of a kind, yet unified with the world through the very same desire, the desire to touch and be touched, to love and be loved, to respect and be respected, to honor and be honored. All upon the school called Planet Earth are seeking the very same thing.
In everyday life you walk down the street, you meet a stranger, you call a friend, you see a family member. Funny thing about life, everywhere you go there’s somebody there. You have the opportunity to care, to share, to express, to laugh and to love. In everything there is relationship. Life is a dance and a celebration of relationship, the relationship between you and God. It is there with you everywhere you go, not tomorrow, not yesterday but everywhere, in every circumstance, your relationship with God is there whether you are bringing attention to it, whether you are deciding to ignore it, it still exists no matter what. You are never separate. Separation is an illusion. God is there. God is there within your mind, God is there within your physical pain. God is there within your empty heart, within your empty spirit. God is there within heaven and hell and all areas in between. God, my dear friends, is there because God is right there within you. Everywhere you go you take God with you, it is up to you, through your own free will, to set the spirit of God free to be expressed in life.
