November 2008
Dear Friends, If you have never been to an Open Session before, the following will give you a sense of the experience. Usually, I talk a bit before I go into trance (okay...I always talk to the audience before I go in to trance...I love to talk and teach) and I share a bit of what I think might be enlightening, heart warming or inspiring information. This provides the audience with an opportunity to get to know me, hear my voice, and have the clear contrast to the personality and vocal quality of Dr. Peebles when he comes through. It is never my intention to make anyone believe in what I do as a Trance Medium. I do what I do as a demonstration of what is possible when one surrenders to God and Love. If someone leaves the Open Session feeling more skeptical than when they arrived, then as far as I am concerned, they are more in touch with their own truth and their own heart. The work I do is not about compliance or building a following. It's about sharing. And, so, in the spirit of the season, I would like to share the transcript of the opening statements from the last Open Session in Sedona. When you read Dr. Peebles' words, please bear in mind that it is understood that many of you may be feeling a bit melancholy at this time of the year, remembering loved ones who have departed this world. I believe you will find solace and comfort in the meditation and words that Dr. Peebles offers. You might want to have someone slowly read the meditation to you so that you can actively participate in it. It's absolutely beautiful. God bless you and your cherished loved ones.
With holiday cheer, love, and gratitude, Summer
Open Session 11-15-08
Summer
"Before I get started I get to talk before Dr. Peebles gets to talk, 'cause I have a captive audience. You didn't know there was a catch, did you? I'm a major Suns fan, I forgot to watch it last night. But there's a reason why I forgot to watch it, because a lot of times as a lightworker, a spiritual teacher, I tend to be put into situations where I'm called on, as I'm sure many of you are, to help out in crisis, when people are in crisis. I know that so many people right now are going through such hardship financially, emotionally. It's as if God is saying to us, 'It's time for you to get real, restructure your life, think about everything you have ever done in your life, every move you've ever made and decide what's really important now.' It's time for us to get real about what's really important in the world and in our lives.
I'm finding that what's important is more and more increasingly my friends and family: that's it. That's really what's important to me. And we're called on, I believe, in various ways to serve God. I was definitely called when I went to San Diego to do some things out there with people that I had no idea I would be doing them with. Every once in a while those opportunities come along where, if you are really in tune, and you are willing to listen and realize that life is not random, you will find yourself suddenly in situations where you are given an opportunity to express the God that you are into the world. Giving God expression a part of why we're here.
My daughter works over at Scheschwan as a hostess. She's a really pretty hostess there, and I went over there to say 'bye' to her before I went to San Diego the last time. There was a woman there who had a little book with photographs in it. She had asked my daughter for the manager of the restaurant, and she said, 'I want to show her these.' I could tell the woman was trying to paint the storefronts--she was looking for work--and I could tell by the way she was dressed that she wasn't doing very well. I thought, 'Wow, good for her. She's making an honest living. She's trying.' So I looked at her and I heard, 'Give her money.' I thought, 'Okay,' because I have a tendency to give away the farm a lot of the time, and I thought 'okay.' The voice was was so distinct. I talked to my daughter and I left, and I realized I was walking next to this woman.
Then I heard, 'Talk to her' and out of my mouth comes, 'How did it go?' She said, 'Well, not very well, but you know, Joe Wilcox gave me some work and they were very generous to me. It was so wonderful.' She just had this bright attitude about things. But, I could see that something wasn't going right for her in her life in some ways, but in other ways everything was going right because she had the right attitude. So I asked her if she had a business card. She said, 'No, I ran out last week.' So I asked for her phone number. I know some people who might be able to use her services. She said she didn't have a pen.
So I said, 'Let's go to my car. I have a pen in my car.' Now I happened to leave my purse in the car when I went into the restaurant, so I went to the passenger side of the car. I don't know why I did that other than it was all orchestrated by God, and I opened the passenger door and got my purse, and a ten dollar bill pops up--and I don't carry cash! So I pull the pen out and give her the pen, pulled the ten dollar bill out and I just stood there, and then she handed me the card and went to shake my hand, and I gave her the ten dollar bill and said, 'I hope that's okay. I was told to give this to you,' and she burst into tears, and she said, 'How did you know? I have no gas in my car, and I didn't know what I was going to do, but I had to keep the faith.' And I said, 'You're obviously being watched out for,' and she said, 'I know, I should have been in church this morning instead of out there trying to get work, but now you're reminding me how important it is to remember God, remember the things that can happen in our lives.'
I looked at her and asked if she had food. She said she had granola bars and water. I said, 'Are you homeless?' She said, 'I have my car. I'm living in my car with my dog.' I said, 'Are you warm enough?' She said, 'Yes, I'm warm enough.' I was fighting inside of my soul to not just scoop this lady up and bring her home with me, right? And I hear, 'Don't do it.' And, I argued, 'But, I could give her more money,' and I hear, 'Don't do it. Don't take her hope from her,' because that one little gesture made all the difference in the world to her.
By the end of this, we're standing outside--it had gone from a very warm day--I was wearing shorts--to a very brisk day, and the sky opened up in Sedona and it started raining on us, and she stood there crying and said, 'I don't know why I'm crying so much,' and I said, 'Because you need to.'
She said, 'Thank you so much. And, you know what? I'm going to go put seven dollars and fifty cents worth of gas in my tank, and I'm going to go get a hamburger.' And she walked away with a skip in her step and hope in her heart. And, I think that's why we're here, and if we can do that, if we can give that gift of hope to each other and remember to do that at every turn, you know...when she said 'thank you for what you did for me,' I said 'thank you for receiving,' because that was a gift to me."
Dr. Peebles' Opening Statement
God bless you indeed, my dear friends, we love you so very much! You are charming! You are magnets for attention! For a moment, close your eyes and breathe very deeply into your spine. You certainly are working very hard in your lives on so many levels at all times, even sitting here today, giving us your attention: it means the world to us. We love your attention, we love your prayers, and we, my dear friends. certainly do love to give the very same to you. We love you, my dear friends. We do not judge you. We do not think lesser of you, we only love you. This is your opportunity as well to seek abundance of love in your life here today. The many rather than the few, guides, friends, family members and others are in the room with you today: they have never been away from you. The greatest illusion of separation is that you have ever been alone.
And so here today, for a moment, as you look in front of you with your eyes closed, using your mind's eye [for those of you who do not understand this, put the attention in the center of your forehead and look in front of you from there] and there you will see mist and light. As you watch this mist and light, gazing upon it without expectation, sense inside of yourself a desire: a desire to receive love, to receive a gift, to receive the gift of understanding in your life. You have a guide, a friend, a family member. There is one here today with you who wants very much to come to you out of that light, out of that mist to help you in your understanding, to help you find the answer that you are seeking. It is there already that, my dear friends, all questions already have answers, all needs are already fulfilled. It is a matter of opening yourself up to receiving the light, love, inspiration and truth that you are.
My dear friends, as you sit with your mind's eye focused in front of you there in the mist, there in the light stands one who loves you so very much. Trust your first impression, trust what you see as it takes shape in front of you, trust that this is not, if you will, a joke, this is reality, this is you sensing into the ethers going for a moment back to your source, going home for the holidays for just a moment here. And as this guide, this friend, this family member steps forth to you, feel the love rise up within your heart. Reach out in front of you and allow for them to give you the gift of love, the gift of a hug or a kiss, a hand shake, a pat on the head perhaps. Accept and receive the abundance that is here for you today. It is not your imagination, it is reality.
And, as you look into the face of this beloved one who is there for you now, into your hands they will place a gift. Allow for this, accept, receive, allow for them to give you this love. Into your hands the gift is placed. Now with your mind's eye look there. What have you received? What have you been given? And ask if you do not understand why, how, this will serve you in your life, this gift that you have been given. What are you to do with it? Keep it to yourself or are you to share it? How are you to use it in your life, in your world?
My dear friends, it is a gift, a treasure given unto you from home, for it is our way to give you our thanks for being courageous adventurers on this school called Planet Earth, for being so courageous to stand up and to express the light from within as darkness enshrouds the world.
You, my dear friends, light a candle every once in a while, not because it has power within it, but because we want for you to see who you really are as you look there at the flame. Realize that's how brightly you burn as well and then some. You, my dear friends, a beautiful spirit, a student of the divine.
It is a time period here in your United States of America for a time of thanks, a time of gratitude. There is peace descending upon the earth, there is love, there is trust, there is respect, there is honesty, there is my dear friends commitment. These things are returning to the school called Planet Earth. They are going to come in abundance, a time period of graciousness and kindness beyond your wildest dreams and imaginations. And how will you know? Because all of these things will be asked to rise up within you. We ask that you pay attention to your own expression. We ask that when you are feeling a desire to tell just a little white lie, my dear friends, don't give a way your light, don't lie, don't cheat, don't be disrespectful to the world around you. Accept, as well, yourself and your truth, don't be afraid of who you are. Speak up and speak out the truth from within so that you can receive the honest echo in response. Don't, my dear friends, cover yourself up, don't bury your heart, don't bury that which you are for the world, be willing to step out of the mist, out of the light and to give your gift to the world.
It is a time upon this school called Planet Earth for all of humanity to be called together collectively to reach out to one another now more than ever as you are moving into the year of 2009. You will find that you need each other more than ever before. You will find yourselves feeling as if your life is falling apart, but in truth you're getting it together. You, my dear friends, are going to pull from resources you did not even dream you had. You will have frank discussions with yourself, and you will realize that you have more abundance than you saw in the first place. You, my dear friends, will draw from, if you will, your own tap to give water to a stranger. You will raid your own refrigerator to make certain that others eat well. You will find these are the treasures of your earth; these are the movements that feel like abundance. This is where suddenly you will be sleeping well at night and awakening in the morning looking forward to your day saying, "How can I shine my light in the world? How can I give unto others? How can I be of service?"
God bless you indeed, my dear friends, you are beautiful spirits students of the divine. In this time of thanks upon your earth we give you our gratitude and our love. We thank you for the many times that you have drawn from your own resources, for the many times that you have given above and beyond the call of duty, and yet you knew in your heart of hearts it was a call of duty, a responsibility for you to take responsibility for your own heart. You, my dear friends, we have shared it so many times, we ask that you abide through the truth expressed in loving allowance, increase communication with respect, and accept self responsibility for your life as a creative adventure.
We ask that now more than ever you study these principles. Come to understand that you are only being asked to love and receive love. That is in and of itself the most important thing you can do, for it is, my dear friends, all that there is: only love, and that is you.
Now, for a moment here with your eyes closed look once again towards your guide, your friend, your family member and express your thanks and your gratitude if you like. You will see them again, that's a promise.
God bless you indeed!
